Doctors with Africa CUAMM is the first NGO in the healthcare area officially recognised in Italy. Founded in 1950 with the aim of training doctors to work in developing countries, actually CUAMM is working in Angola, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda implementing healthcare projects in partnership with local governments and institutions.

> Requirements:
- Citizenship of a State of the European Union (requirement essential for administrative issues)
- University Degree in Medicine and Surgery with further specialisation in Paediatrics
- Good knowledge of written and spoken Portuguese
- Previous experience in Developing Countries
- Previous experience in managing projects will be an asset
> Project Objectives:
The project aims at strenghtening of the Health System in Damba Municipality (Uige Province) through the Public-Private Partnership promotion, with a particular focus on Mother and Child Health. The project foresees the rehabilitation and re-opening of Damba Mother and Child Hospital (owned by Uige Diocese), that will guarantee the quality of health services, in full cooperation and integration with the Municipal Hospital of Damba. Paediatrician main goal: to guarantee Damba Mother and Child Hospital Clinical Direction, in collaboration with Administrative Director and project Manager, and the quality of paediatric and neonatal care.
> Key duties: As a Project Manager, the Paediatrician will be responsible of the proper implementation of the project in terms of activities and financial management. The Paediatrician will be the Medical Director of Damba Mother and Child Hospital, will be responsible of Paediatrics Ward management and will support the management of Maternity and Paediatrics Ward OPD activities.
The main tasks of this function will be the following:
- Ward staff supervision and on-the-job training
- Support to the organization of Public Health services at Municipal level
- Collaboration in the definition and implementation of an integrate referral system in Damba Municipality
- Collaboration in the definition and implementation of a Continuing Education program targeting Municipal health staff.
- Support to Local Authorities and Diocese in planning, organizing and providing integrated mother and child health services at Municipal level.
- Collaboration in community awareness and participation activities.
