Doctors with Africa CUAMM is the first NGO in the healthcare area officially recognised in Italy. Founded in 1950 with the aim of training doctors to work in developing countries, actually CUAMM is working in Angola, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda implementing healthcare projects in partnership with local governments and institutions.

> Requirements:
- Citizenship of a State of the European Union (requirement essential for administrative issues)
- University Degree or Diploma in Midwifery
- Good knowledge of written and spoken Portuguese
- Previous experience in training activities

> Project Objectives:
The project aims at strenghtening of the Health System in Damba Municipality (Uige Province) through the Public-Private Partnership promotion, with a particular focus on Mother and Child Health. The project foresees the rehabilitation and re-opening of Damba Mother and Child Hospital (owned by Uige Diocese), that will guarantee the quality of health services, in full cooperation and integration with the Municipal Hospital of Damba. Midwife main goal: to guarantee the management of Maternity Ward and Delivery Room in Damba Mother and Child Hospital, assuring the quality of care and the enhancement of local staff capacity to provide the service.
> Key duties:
- Collaboration in Maternity Ward and Delivery Room management
- Ward staff supervision and on-the-job training
- Collaboration to assessment of the training needs of the health staff in the Municipality and to definition and implementation of a Continuing Education program.
- Collaboration in community awareness and participation activities.
- Collaboration in the organization of Municipal, Provincial and Regional workshops.
