Doctors with Africa CUAMM has always been clear about its commitment to the poorest among the great community that is humanity. It is a commitment which demands a careful analysis of local situations and involves a concrete effort in favour of solidarity, in a spirit of sharing, dedication and generosity.
The improvement and safeguarding of healthcare are, moreover, integral aspects of a holistic vision with respect to those suffering illness; careful attention must be paid to the physical, psychological, spiritual, cultural and social aspects of each person we meet who is in need of care. The high degree of professionalism required from those who work on Doctors with Africa CUAMM projects must therefore be complemented by personal attributes such as a spirit of giving and of service, and shared values of empathy and free giving which lie at the heart of the organisation’s activities.
